Dan Scorer has secured the services of Louis Plumridge, as Ton's new first team coach.

Louis steps-up from his current strength-and-conditioning remit, replacing Mark Wallis, who was unable to continue the role due to work and family commitments.

A veteran Army Commando, with over 12 years service, Louis spent a significant portion of his career developing soldiers physically and mentally to pass the Commando course and earn the coveted Green Beret.

Since leaving the forces, he has launched his own high performance coaching service, helping high achievers accomplish the ambitious and challenging goals they strive for.

He said: “Over the last few years I’ve spent some time working with the team on-and-off, and every time it’s come to an end it’s left me feeling hungry for more because the lads are so driven to better themselves and achieve as much as possible.

"When Dan asked me to get involved as the clubs' First Team Coach, it didn’t take much thinking for me to say 'yes'.

"Just like my day job, my role is optimising performance, whether that’s through strength and conditioning, nutrition protocols or mental performance work - it’s all integral to getting the end result the club and I are striving for.”

Ton boss, Dan Scorer, added: "Firstly, I’d like to thank Mark Wallis for his effort and commitment to the role last season. He added a real hunger to the squad and used his experience to help maintain that winning mentality.

"With Mark stepping down, I felt it was the perfect opportunity to take a different approach and introduce Louis in a more prominent role.

"As a club, we’ve been very fortunate to have had the support of Louis over the past three years, providing us with his knowledge of high performance conditioning, nutrition and mental performance.

"Louis is incredibly driven and shares my enthusiasm for achievement. I’m delighted to have him on board and I’m looking forward to working together - along with the rest of the management team - as we strive to push the club to new heights."

Ton's hopes for promotion took a positive turn late on Friday, following the FA's announcement that the NLS re-structure proposals at Steps 4-6, had been approved.

An FA sub-committee meet w/c May 10 to ratify all 'upward movements', with Ton set to make formal application this coming week.
