Homelands Stadium now has the addition of two smart new Kennington FC signs, thanks to an Ashford Borough Council members grant.

Cllr Nathan Iliffe - ward member for Kennington - gave his backing to the project of improving the club's match day visibility and profile at the site they share with landlords, Ashford United.

Two signs have been produced - one 'next fixture' board in-situ at the grounds' main entrance, with Cllr Iliffe pictured (left) alongside Ton Chairman, Jon Lancaster, by the second welcome board - on the outer turnstile wall - prior to Sunday's FA Vase tie with Crowborough Athletic.

Signage design came courtesy of Lotus Print, with production via Medash Signs, and was funded by a £500 members grant contribution from the Councillor.

"I'm delighted to help Kennington Football Club through allocation of some of my Member's grant," said Cllr Iliffe.

"Supporting an organisation like Kennington FC is exactly what the grant exists for. The club does a huge amount of good work in our local community, particularly with their junior section.

"Engaging young people in sport and teaching them the values of teamwork sets them up with great life skills.

"It was great to be a part of Kennington's FA Vase win on Sunday - a testament to the hard work and determination of a great team - and wish them the very best of luck for the rest of the season."
