Kennington have been drawn at home to Jersey Premiership side, St Peter, in the preliminary round of the Kent Senior Trophy.

The competition is open to Kent-based Step 5 and 6 clubs, with St Peter obtaining entry in 2018/19, where they won through to the semi-final - going out by the odd goal in five to Beckenham Town.

The Channel Islanders were last season's Jersey Premiership runners-up, and are another side to integrate with the mainland game, following in the footsteps of Isthmian South East side, Guernsey, and Jersey Bulls - who make their debut in the Combined Counties Division One this season.

St Peter's Rue des Vignes ground in St Peter has the unusual feature of backing on to Jersey airport runway.

The tie will be played at Homelands on Saturday, September 28 with a 2pm k.o, and will be completed on the day, with extra time and penalties should it be required.

There's a home fixture against Rochester United in store for the winners in the first round proper, on October 19.
