Home comforts finally return for Ton on Wednesday evening, as Snodland Town visit Homelands, 7.45pm k.o.

It's been 44 days since we last played a home SCEFL fixture with our Vase run and the way the calendar's fallen, welcoming a Snodland side who will be a tough test, having suffered just one defeat in their last five in all competitions.

Like ourselves, Snodland have also progressed well in this season's FA Vase, with a trip to Combined Counties Premier outfit, Sutton Common Rovers in the first round on Saturday.

They currently sit ninth in SCEFL Division One - level pegging on eleven points alongside ourselves, albeit with nine games played compared to Ton's seven.

Saturday saw a 2-2 draw at home to high-riding Holmesdale, with Town coming back from two down to level by the interval through Tom Fitzgerald and Anthony Fenech.

Meanwhile, Ton were without a game for the second successive weekend, but had a useful run-out against Ashford United's U23's development side at Homelands on Friday evening, coming away with a comfortable 5-0 victory against Barry Fuller's young side.

Dan Scorer will be keen to get back to winning ways having fallen behind the early pacesetters in the League and stuttering in our last two - both on the road - a 4-3 reverse against SC Thamesmead, followed by a 3-3 draw in the local derby at Lydd Town last Wednesday - two fixtures which also brought four costly sin-bins.

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a 2-1 victory for Snodland in March - Stephen Hafner and Liam Wilkins on target.

Ton midfielder Charlie Owen came through ninety minutes in the friendly win on Friday after missing out with injury against Lydd, captain Tad Greenfield is expected to have recovered from a knock picked up in the derby.

Entry is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions with under 16's admitted free, programmes available at the turnstile for £1.

Our thanks to Match Sponsor - The Garden Guy - for all your commercial and domestic gardening and landscaping needs.

* Following this, Ton's FA Vase continues on Sunday, as we host Crowborough Athletic in the first round at Homelands, 3pm k.o.
