Two late Greenways goals denied Kennington their third straight victory at a sweltering Homelands on Bank Holiday Monday.

The majority of the 114 in attendance were buoyed early on as Gary CLARKE hit Ton's opener on 31 minutes - the midfielder adding to his double at Rochester United on Saturday.

It stayed that way until mid way through the second half, when substitute Charlie OWEN struck to put Dan Scorer's men into a strong position going into the final stages.

However Greenways fought back first through substitute, Tom REARDON who halved the deficit just two minutes after coming on.

Ton had Sam Brown sin-binned by the referee, prior to Simon WALTON leveling just three minutes from time, benefiting from Robb Henderson's cut-back.

TON: Barnes, Hughes, Greenfield, Phillips, Brown, Stow, Philpott, Scorer, Lockyer, Horton. Subs: Tomsett, Quigley, Owen, Goddard, Fisher.

The waiting is nearly over for one of the biggest days in Kennington's history, in facing Epsom & Ewell on August 31 in the FA Vase first qualifying round - the first time the club has appeared in the national competition. The tie will be played at Chipstead FC, CR5 3SF, 3pm k.o
