Dan Scorer gave Charlie Owen his first start since September having returned from a lengthy suspension - Owen featuring in a more advanced role alongside Tommy Scorer and Liam Middleton, in Ton’s first fixture since talisman, Gary Lockyer’s move to landlords, Ashford United. Robbie Dolan also gained a recall in the middle, having served his one match ban.

Tommy Penfold gave Ton the lead mid-way through the half with a powerful header in off the underside of the bar (pictured) from Liam Middleton's corner - the referee's assistant confirming the ball over the line.
In truth, Ton's margin of victory should have been much greater against the division's basement side, with the Hamlets having their goalkeeper to thank on numerous occasions in keeping the ball out.
However the solitary goal advantage remained until the hour mark - great work from Tony Oladipupo down the left side saw the Ton man beat his marker and square for Gary Clarke, who made no mistake tucking home from six yards.
Clarke then turned provider for Middleton to add a third with eleven to play - the forwards' downward volley deceiving the keeper.
A soft consolation late on will disappoint Ton in seeking a first clean sheet since the start of August - while Harry Lavender was unable to add gloss to the score by sending his injury-time penalty over the bar in an otherwise excellent performance. The incident also seeing Hamlets play out the final moments with nine following a straight red and sin-bin.
Successive SCEFL Premier Division victories takes Ton back up to eighth in the table, and gives Dan Scorer's side momentum going into their local derby at Lydd Town in the Challenge Cup next, on Tuesday, November 23 (7.45pm).
