Bank Holiday Monday sees us renew acquaintances with Greenways, who travel to Homelands for a 3pm k.o.

Greenways were runners-up to ourselves in the Kent County Premier Division in 2017/18, also making the same step-up to the Southern Counties East after a sustained period at County level.

During that season, we came away with victories home and away, although our more recent SCEFL meetings have been much tighter affairs, with a depleted Ton letting a 2-1 lead slip in the final moments at Cobdown, while the reverse at Homelands ended in a 2-1 victory in our final home fixture of last season - Gary Clarke and Joe Fisher on target.

After a heavy opening day defeat to Sutton Athletic, Greenways have impressed in taking maximum points in their next two against Stansfeld and last weekend at Bridon Ropes - Simon Walton, Josh White and Oscar Saxton with the goals in a 3-1 success. Rob Jeffery's side currently lie fourth in the Division One table.

They are without a game on Saturday, while we travel to Rochester United who currently have a similar record to Greenways with two wins and a defeat to their name.

Having returned from a weekend off ourselves, two positive performances over the Bank Holiday will be the order from Dan Scorer, as Ton look to build on their 6-2 home victory against Lewisham Borough.

It would be great to see a bumper Bank Holiday crowd at Homelands to cheer the boys on - entry is £5 for adults, £3 for concessions, with our new-look match programme 'The Ton' available at the turnstile for just £1.

Our thanks to Match Sponsor, STREETS AHEAD LEAFLETS for their support.
